I agree Nigel, come on you lot !!

This was taken from another thread but the end is very appropriate for this one.

If you have never been to an FM "fish in" (and there is one next month) I assure you that having attended a few myself, it is the best way to start appreciating what a good lot of blokes you are talking to on this forum.

Sorry for the delay Nigel, cheque is written for ****y and me and will be posted tomorrow.

2nd class I'm afraid. They're the only stamps my stingy girlfriend would let me have one of.

Cheers Paul! You're a star :)

I'll be phoning you in the week... 40th birthday this weekend, need moral support...

I hope this isn't supposed to be taken too seriously. I could do with a few pointers on tactics/bait etc having never fished there.

And please not spodcopters or bagging wagglers because I dont have any and I will not use them. I am competetive but not THAT competitive.

A pretty good long method feeder rod would be handy, if you have one. If you haven't, want to buy one? ;) :)

You could go for the roach if you keep feeding maggots on an accurate cast.

Or just hang in there for a passing carp or tench with a pellet. I was even thinking of trying out the pellet waggler method this time, it's not as bad as you might think. Quite exiting really.

If you're up the top end, do not go for the carp under the boards. They'll rip you up and smash your rod. Unless you use a beachcaster and 30lbs line.

I've got barbel rods of varying oomph that will happily bung a method feeder....or indeed a bagging waggler. Yes...I know I said I wouldn't use one but having read about them it doesn't seem hard. I can do that .

I wasn't planing to be winkling about for roach. All I want is a good day out,a few fish and to give Spiders a good hiding !
