"Three bog rolls have been sent to Ed and Cakey, one roll eachto help them get over thetrauma caused by the Activity Table, andtwo rolls each to help them get over the the even greater trauma of Manchester United winning both Premier League and Champion's League cups, while Liverpool FC won ****-all"

We don't have to winthe Champions League---- After winning it 5 TIMES we have our own to KEEP !!!

And when you win the league as many times as us then you can gloat.........

I won't know who to support next year. I suppose when they play each other I'll be hoping for a draw.

For the purposes ofthe Activity Table an editorial review, unlike a user review,is classed as an article.

As a matter of modest personal interest when does a ludicrously overblown long and discursive post become so long and discursive and excessive that it gets classed as an article ? Just a thought, given my usual terse and taciturn style....

It told me what I already knew, and there's no getting away from the fact that a series of articles like 'First Class Fishing' are worth any amount of tens of thousands of posts on Baitbox as far as the success of the site is concerned.

I really don't see why the social aspect of this site constantly gets such a drubbing from aconsistant minority.

It can be said with no doubt, the article writers who give their time for free have contributedimmeasurably to the wealth of information on here and the success of the site.I would, however, also bet that writing is something these people enjoy; possibly nearly as much as fishing /forum/smilies/smile_smiley.gif.

Some people are not born to write and may even find the task difficult or tiresomeyet believe it or not they still enjoy fishing, including the opportunity this site offers to meet like-minded individuals, arrange fish-ins and have banter on the forums.

Yes contributers to this sites archives are important but so is it's social side and they both compliment each other.

I wonder if some people who have the time, money and passion to immerse themselves almost completely in the world of angling (I wish)sometimes losetouch with those others who may have demanding work and/or familycommitments to occupy their spare waking hours.

Fishing is many things to many people and climbing a league table may not fall as high on the list of acheivementsfor some as it might for others.

Might be, I may write a few tackle reviews later /forum/smilies/tongue_out_smiley.gif.

My barbel article still isn't attached to my profile either which reminds me I think I made a promise to follow that one up with an update.

Better late than never I suppose.

Batter “bait box” is an old chestnut that appears periodically.Due to my level of angling competence (or otherwise), I don’t post serious or meaningful articles, but I honestly access EVERY article that is posted, and have learned so much from them, and certainly respect the angling skills of the top boys, ask advice, and have made good friends with many.

Life without a smile is dour, in fact if you check out the articles that anglers such as Lee Swords (a top guy and helpful fella), he can be as technical as any angler, but also fills his writings up with great humour alongside advice and observations.Life on all levels is an eclectic mix, I love the serious articles, I love the humour.

FM would not be such a wonderful site without this mix…well, that is of course only my humble opinion.Regards to all.
