Will your OCD put up with a brand for each style of fishing I.E all your carp gear from one manufacturer. all yor float gear from another . Rarely does one manufacturer have the best in all styles but many specialise in one form of fishing.

Avons, specialist rods, look no further than Harrisons or Greys, fit for the job, nicely balanced and will last you a lifetime.

Reels have got to be Shimano, tried and trusted for donkeys years and will last you donkeys years if you look after them.

Do what the companies do. Make a list of the required tackle email/post it to all the major tackle shops asking for there best price and delivery time. Inform them that it is a cash deal and list all the shops you have sent it to. You will be amazed at the discounts you can get. Remmber insurance companies usually insist on a 20% discount at least.

Grant you beat me to it! I've just seen Wayne's list and thought Diawa! I think they've got some of the best reels on the market at the moment. They've got some superb rods, good line, luggage and clothing. As Ron said you'll not get the absolute best in every bit of tackle by doing this, but I'm not sure you'll notice the difference anyway.
