Contrary to wishing one's life away, nothing could be further from the truth. We anglers are the eternal optimists, and the more fishing one has done certain facts become evident. One of which is the seasonal changes and how they affect the fishing. Certain periods offering better chances for certain species.

My observation with regards to Autumn was no more than that illustrating anticipation.

I should say that by inclination I am a predator angler for Pike, Perch, Zander and from time to time Chub.

There's nothing like an an angler when it comes to wishing their life away.
It'll soon be Autumn winter or whatever.
Make the most of it.
One day it'll be be taken away.

So what, life is too short anyway, making plans for the best part of the fishing season is the essence of angling and a joy in itself.

It's nothing at all to do with wishing your life away !!
