I must admit I've sat through many storms and only once reeled in and waited for it too pass.

I think you are all talking rubbish!
Every time there is a thunderstorm whilst I am fishing, I climb on to my seat box and wave my carbon match rod in the air!

best way to avoid being hit by lightning is to wait for a thunder storm then stand on top of a mountain in metal armour shouting all gods are bastards ron
