Hi Peter,

Great idea-a Perch post :D.

I'll be 'Perchin' all winter and hopefully have something to add. Just moved house, not far, 10 miles from the last one. Interestingly, my fave Perch venue is now just 1 mile down the road. And she thinks we moved here cos it has nice views-yeah right luv :wh:D:D

Look forward to seeing some pics of huge Perch. Good luck to all.

Ron

If you want a little fished venue in Essex give lakeside shopping centre a go you can hire a boat. There are some really big perch in this water fish near the floating restaurant the bait fish shoal up underneath it done well with lures and lobs. I have had perch follow my lure that have made my jaw drop . I have had fish to 4+.

Chubberbobs photo of his Big perch have vanished from this thread!
I don't know if he decided to delete it or FM have deleted it?
Anyway I'll let his claim stand for now, see if he comes back?
4:11 certainly is a Big perch but considering the record is 6:5 it's still wide open and there's 5 and a half months to go...
Keep trying lads, it's not over until the fat lady sings...
Get a lob on.....!

If I remember rightly Peter the actual pic was posted in a different thread started by chubberbob when he caught it because he was having difficulty posting the image so I did it for him.

I'm pretty sure he won't mind me copying the picture here for him as he's reported it earlier in the thread, it's such a cracking fish and a very well done again chubberbob...

Well remembered Steve, be careful or you could get any Tom, **** or Harry asking you to post their pics......I admit uselessness on that score tbh.

Re the photo. It does look it's weight so (as ultimate judge) let it stand.
Only problem now is how to beat it.

That certainly is a lovely looking Perch, a fish many an angler would be more than pleased with. Well done that man.

I can see from the humpback that's a Big perch Ron.
Did you get a chance to weigh it?

No I didn't Pete. The wind blew my landing net onto a barbed wire fence a minute before I got the bite. Damn . So I had to pick her out, consequently played her a little longer than usual to avoid a tussle in the final moments. My concern was to get her back as soon as, camera was beside me ready so grabbed it as I went to pop her back. She swam away just fine. As I slipped the hook out I noticed you could prob put a golf ball in her gob so heading towards 3lb I guess. Stunning fin colour.
