Nice one young Bunion. /forum/smilies/wink_smiley.gif

Given the miniscule fish I caught on Monday I'll be asking for tips!!

PoshPaul

P.s You have got to work on those photos - that looks a splendid narrowboat behind you but we don't really get to appreciate its full magnificence!

That was a nice one Paul, some of them are a bit scabby.

I lost the pike this year on the canal, found lots in a really localised area but they've buggered off/forum/smilies/i_dont_know_smiley.gif

Bring the small fish in to your swim and the pike won't be far/forum/smilies/wink_smiley.gif

Christian, lovely scaled fish mate.

Top tip..........Rest the fish in the net, calm your nerves, get the camera/weighing gear ready/Un-hooking mat, get comfy.................enjoy the photo and the moment and tuck your fingers away, two fingers in front is plenty to hold the fish.

You've got many more to come mate! /forum/smilies/wink_smiley.gif

I didn't weight it Ryan but I reckon it was about 13 1/2 - 14lbs. Only a guess though may have been a lb smaller or bigger.

Evan, didn't bother cooking it in the end. Stuck it in a giant freezer bag and sold to a polish lad at school.
