Carp fishing with cat meat

we were using catfood to catch carp back in the early 70s, try mixing some gelatine with it, you can make cakes out of it and cut it into squares like luncheon meat, an excellent bait which will still works today of course. You can certainly make paste baits from it if you read up on your carp fishing history a bit!

place i fished in devon has banned it,reckons it can pass on viral carp disease.yet owner in france swore by it for winter fishing.suppose you could freeze it on made up rigs in a flask
