Hello all,
I would be grateful please for any suggestions as to how to go aboutfishing shallow waterwith a depth of 1ft with deep silt for carp at close range - 20 and 60 yards. The silt in the lake seems to be consistantly deep with our leads plugging due to the shallow waterand proving very difficult to dislodge and retrieve. A large number of good sized carp were in this area today and we tried to tempt them with surface baits but to no avail. I think the fish were in the shallow water prior to spawning but didn't seem interested in our baits although we saw them silting up the water on a regular basis which we presumed was the fish feeding.
Any help regarding rigs and baits would be gratefully appreciated.
