If that doesnt work out (hope it does) and this isnt normally a problem for you, rent a van for a day or weekend - many do weekend specials. Dont go with a company like sixt or enterprise and dont do it on line, haggle like mad and get a swb transit for not alot of cash. One of the cheaper places are dealerships like ford, vw etc who offer van hire "on the side" so to speak. They dont have big fleets but bargains can be had. Also check if the company you work for has an account with a van hire firm and try to get the same rate.

Just arrived home with a Thule Alpine 500 roofbox...

Plenty big enough for my rods, my stealth brolly and a few other bits and pieces.

Be useful on camping trips too.
