I generally use a stripped down preston box - ie took the footplate off as I generally fish on flat pegs. I did however, fish with a cheapo stool when I was working away one day which didnt have my side tray, my spare disgorgers in the drawers beneath after I've dropped mine (again), rod rests and all my bits and bobs within easy reach. Me and my mate looked like a couple of pikies surrounded by folk in all their nice gear. Now we did catch, but I found it a massive hinderence fishing withou my (now very much beloved) preston box - and I was seriously considering a new chair. Now I know the korum can take trays and rod rests but it cant take tackle so I'm sticking with the box.

The Korum lightweight chair with the adjustable legs is what I use. Best fishing chair around bar none.

For fishing the pole, a box is the best.
