Hang on a minute.

We are going to challenge another forum to a carp match?, we only caught 5 tench between 30 odd of us in 48 hours at Sywell.

We only just beat what the tenchfishers caught on thier fish in, cant say I have much confidence in 90%of you, we didnt have a carp between all of us, and none of us are carp specialist,( sorry Cakey).

Count me out I had enough of you all last weekend.

ok guys ive just had a look on the other site and it seems that there is little or no response from them, in fact they are now arguing amongst themselves about fishing in scotland or england. I think we have totally kicked their ar%*S without even having to wet a line.

If you stil all want to go Carping to Thorpe Lea then Il sort summit. let me know

If it is a runs water somebody better draw it to Corker's attention - he's bound to be up for it! Certainly broaden the portfolio of Korda DVDs!!!

Then lets take all comers on.

FM's anglers are the best in the land. The reason is because behind all the mickey taking we help one another with advice and even take time to fish with some of the people asking. To pass on all we know. We do not set ourselves up as elitist anglers.</blockquote>

Guys I think the challenge is off... Ive been modded by the other site for using the word ar£*"s and they are still 'undecided' as to wether they would like to fish a match/social against us. They want dates and venues before they can commit to a yes or no answer, and I dont think I would like to fish on the same lake as them. Am I allowed to mention the site Graham ? just so you can have a look and see for yourselves.

If the other forum does not want to come out to play why dont we do a social /summer workshop event.

I am sure some of the more exsperiebnced anglers (Roto) would be able to show something to the guys. I would be happy to do a couple ofsessions and we could donate any money raise to charity. I would donate my time Free. The lake has loads of scope to do

1) Markers float

2) Spodding

3) Longrange casting

4) Rigs & Hooks

5) Leads and leaders

6) PVA systems

Etc Etc

Oh and cakey would show us how to eat bacon and drink beer LOL and sink bait boats I think he said.

Ian, can you teach them how to catch tench first?. They have to learn to walk before they can run.
