It might be worth a PM to our fellow FM-er Sunkistbob-SKB - he's might not be looking at this site every day presently - probably a busy time of the year for him on the Fly Fishing side of things!

Rich studied the photos I sent him and is sure that the reel's an SK Lite, but it's clearly labelled as an SK6. Perhaps they originally intended to give it that denomination and changed their minds, and this is a prototype. Who knows?

Here's another picture of the SK Lite. If you look carefully you can see the final version of the embossing on the spindle. Aside from that it's the same reel as Rob has purchased. Nice find! :) Note that on this version the handle and counterbalance have been removed to make it even lighter.
