Bank eroders eh! Mr Monk. So its them crabs that are responsible for thefinancial crisis we find ourselves in, I shall pen a letter to the Times immediately.
Looks to me like the crayfish will have the advantage if it stays out of the crab`s reach and uses the jab. If it moves inside though I can see the crab busting it up in a very dirty fight.
On a serious note though its all rather worrying. Maybe they should change the law so that anyone caught stealing fish should have a signal crayfish or a mitten crab attached to their danglies until they repent and promise not to do it again. Bagsy i`m not the one to attach it though /forum/smilies/wink_smiley.gif
i have heard of them being in the tidal thames, howver i fished at kew bridge last week and only saw our native mud crabs.i understand they are also present in other tidal rivers, i believe they can only breed in salty or brackish water so are unlikely to venture too far upstream, and they eat crayfish.
