I have a set of three Japanese made sportmatics,I also have a British made one.Japanese model has 7 ball bearings and is smoother than an Infinity.English model has $ ball bearings and does not quite come up to expectations.Every reel I have come by via Japan has been of superior quality to English models.Can anybody tell me why this should be?Steve OZ
