If it's a Drennan rod you can comfortably knock 1/4lb off the stated test curve anyway based on the rods I have anyway!

I have a pair of these rods lovely action currently using mine for tench fishing in weed free conditions. I would say the rating of 1.25tc is spot on. £75 is a very fair price IMO

I had to chuckle reading the above Hugh, you are a bit like me in as much as I find I can't resist a nice fishing rod, I'm only glad that I don't sit behind two rods(or more) and opt to fish with one for all of my fishing, you must have or had many pairs of rods over time, I certainly wouldn't like to catalogue mine, I'd be hard pressed to remember them all...

I am a sucker for rods bearing in mind I don't fly ot sea fish I have far too many. Off the top of my head I have 2 x set of 3 and 6 pairs. If I buy a new rod I try and sell another rod first to free up funds. That way it keeps the missus happy

I have four rods i use for barbel Hugh, but I have two 1.25lb t.c. rods that were bought for barbel back in the days of 6-8lb lines, I'm a suckered for a good float/match rod, the good thing is I don't think there are many out there at present, certainly none that scream cone here and buy me anyway...
