By the way, refering to an earlier thread,neither Parcel Force or the Post Office deliver parcels in excess of 1.5 metres,official.Mine 1.85 and Couriers,until I shopped around and found one, wanted ?25 ish!!

Yes mate!!!!.They must make an absolute bomb just on postal charges alone.It made me cringe the other week when someone purchased a fox specialist float rod for ?65.00 plus the ?14.50 postal charge.You can buy the float rod for ?69.99,and in some shops ?59.99!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not going to comment on the rod price, Yoggy, there are some bargains on eBay and some not-so-bargains.

The ?14.50 though, is in most cases, courrier delivered and insured. You pays your money.......

For reels - there's always Royal Mail's Special Delivery - by 1:00pm next day and insured to ?500 for ?4.10 - not bad.

Jeff,I used the same Courier as the seller,hinted at above.

I bought a rod at a very good price,including the postage though!
