But if i have got to use deads Fresh killed roach,Smelt and Blueies..


I would normally use one rod with a live and one with a dead..

Must say i have had a lot of pike on small Whiting...:w

sprats for me.
as a standard legered deadbait with two small trebles, or
on a single big treble off bottom under a chubber, or
threaded onto a jig head, used like a rubber with a fairly straight retrieve.

i also use mackerel and sardines for legering, but way more bites on sprat for me.

coloured water:
sardine, mackerel and herring

clear water:
half a roach, eel and mackerel

got some bogue to try for the first time this season, they look like they'll make a good trolling bait
