Could I ask you to look at my last posting please.
I am sure that Eddie, Graham, or Chris will not be happy with you messing about with the edit button all the time.
It confuses new members who come onto the site.
I am only asking this of you as a friend.

I only use the edit biutton to correct my spelling mistakes as I have just done, and also done numerous times tonight, as I have lost my specs.

It's the Baz, DB and Christian show!

Evening gents.

I've not been able to add to my (our) score Baz and as you seem to have mislaid the "reply" or "send" button from your email system, I'm just about to post my (our) score on the results thread.

31 species!

All from the same swim (two below Wareham Town Bridge on the Frome).

Eddie, check the photos very, very carefully!

Only one from the Frome, Neil; plenty from Poole harbour, the Stour and some local stillwaters. All fish caught in Dorset, and not a koi amongst them (your golden fish!). Tonight's finishing session was after thick-lips on Poole Quay. Lost 2 there last sunday. Hooked one tonight and the carbon landing net pole disintergrated trying to land it, and sank in 12 foot of water. At 8 foot above the water I was lucky to find a way down to the water on the Marina walkway and hand-lift it out - not recommended for mullet but by then it was played out. I've had a lot of fun this week, all very short sessions targeting one or two species at a time but occasionally getting three or more.

Also check the local fishmongers and the wholesalers on Poole Quay!

I'll get their numbers if you want.

Competitive?? This man has taken it tooooooo far!

Neil,

Ah, the bathroom! Not quite finished though had a couple of goes this weekend; then went fishing! Be honest, half the species in the sea give themselves up, especially wrasse, pout, blennys, sand smelt (pout stripping the ragworm every cast tonight, little bait robbers!). The herring was a fluke tonight taking my flake meant for mullet, and the mackerel took a hard hour's feathering from the rocks at Sandbanks. The silver bream was a nightmare on Saturday, having to get through a roach a cast for 3 hours on the Pony Fields until I finally found one. Still, I've found a good spot for mullet.

Ah yes, The Pony Fields! The scene of so many of my fishing disasters! Once got pegged next to Jack Clayton there, he beat me by the odd 39lb!

The Silver Bream still there then?

The silver bream are hard to find nowadays; I had a few last season at Throop Mill, and the Pony Fields yields a few if you stick at it. when the lower stour was dredged in 1988 it produced loads of silvers to a pound but since then they've slowly declined and it's mainly roach plus odd bream.

And as the minutes tick by (I bet Mark has just sneaked out to try and get numbers 32 & 33).

A bloody big hand:

For Eddie C for starting this whole thing off.

For Mistral Baits for their sponsorship.

For Graham "Expensive Barbel Rod Giveaway" Marsden for the "hosting".

and all us competitors - money going to a very good cause.

I really enjoyed it, lots of fun!

It has been a good laugh and a good excuse to get out fishing, nice one Eddie.

Watch out though! my partner aint entered his results yet!
