Have a look at the Middy 4gs 11ft pellet waggler rod. This is a lovely rod and quite capable of landing smallroach and large carp. It could probably be used for light ledger work but I never have.

The guides arn't particularly stand off on the hardys rod but the blank is fast and progresses into a full arc typical of an avon rod. All the other avon rods i've used are slow and sloppy with far to much flex in the middle sections for any serious trotting....the hardys rod is in another league to any other avon rod i've ever used or handled, whoever designed the rod got it bang on!
That pretty much carries through on the 1lb Ultralite and the heavy Specimen too Ian, very nice indeed.
I think I will compete my collection by adding the Specialist one of these days
Is the hardy specialist just a two piece rod no quiver tip section ,the only one I could find is a sold item on ebay ?
