Good Afternoon chaps,
New member but experienced angler from just outside Solihull.
I do pretty much all types of fishing all over the world from fresh to saltwater, game and coarse, fly to beach fishing. The only type of fishing I don’t do is sitting behind electronic bite alarms as I don’t have the patience…
Some highlights of my 25 years of angling experience include giant white sturgeon to 400+lbs, pacific salmon to 60lbs, bonefish, permit, tarpon, barracuda, a 450lb bull shark, dorado, tuna, grayling, some lovely wild brown trout and pike to 22lb.
Goals for the next few months are:
· My first Atlantic Salmon
· A double figure barbel - completed already
· 5lb plus bass on the fly rod
· My first ever sea trout - completed already
· Double figure smoothhound from the beach
I have been concentrating this season on barbel on the Severn and Avon, I have managed one double and a few other nice fish but it is really difficult going at the moment with the river so low.
Soon I will be moving my attention to predator fishing and I have a particular love of lure fishing and fly fishing for predators.
Here are a few pictures to show off / make you jealous etc
Bonefish - Tobago
Permit - Tobago
Giant White Sturgeon - British Columbia
Pacific Salmon - British Columbia
Pacific Salmon - British Columbia
There's a 450lb+ Bull Shark on the end of that line...note the lack of harness or butt pad, which resulted in a lot of heavy bruising!
