I have at times taken a deckchair rather than my various fishing seats. It comfortable in summer, but not for winter as the thin material allows your backside to chill.

wire and plasticine for making ledgers which will free themselves in case of a snag, the wire has a million uses such as making an improvised baiting needle in case you drop your proper one in the river holding stuff together in case something breaks.

Push Bike with paniers for getting me place to place with all my heavy gear

tippex for marking the depth of a swim on my rod

radio, knife, pointy noised pliars very handy, wire cutters.

toilet paper which can be a life saver in the winter when there isn't any vegitation if you get caught out
