Hi there!, I'm new to the forum, and to fishing. I first went fishing a long time ago - I think this 'fishing' gave me the wrong impression. I was in Cornwall, staying at a friends house - his dad got bored on day and decided to dig a pond in his back garden. He used his digger to excavate the soil! Its huge. Anyway - he stuck some fish in and they thrived! Mostly full of roach. So basically my first fishing experience was squishing a bit of bread onto a hook and pulling it out seconds later with a fish on!
That was about 10 years ago - I'm now armed with a float rod and a quiver rod. I also have shortish sea/spinning rod. I use this with lure/spinners, and I'm going to use with my mackerel rig from a sea wall or pier.
I feel quite comfortable now with float fishing. I'm here to get more info about equipment and how to best to target other fish. I may also be prone to asking silly, or really obvious questions until I feel I fully understand something. Thanks for listening, Ben
