Is fishing an addiction?

Fishing has become my saviour, keeps me sane a few hours away from work & home. I always look forward to my next trip. I’ll think about it a lot and read up when I’ve any a spare time. By the bank side is when I feel truly free. I don’t think it an obsession more a love I’ve had since a child, whatever I catch brings a smile.

I had someone tell me once I was obsessive but I could not help but think they where just jealous as they didnt have a pastime they liked as much.

Another memory was someone saying to me "but dont you get bored ?" ...they said this whilst sat in front of a TV with EastEnders on...
