A couple of seasons ago I treated myself to a Trefor West Lone Angler handle, which retails eye-wateringly just over fifty quid. It's brilliant. Over Christmas I netted a nice chub in it way down a steep bank. In my excitement to send a snap of my capture to some mates, I tripped over the handle and completed a triple salchow, axel and lutz (no pike), landing squarely on the handle like Buster Keaton. It remains dead straight. it was like it was made for me.
Another fan of the Drennan specialist twist lock carbon.
After destroying many other handles and seeking advice on here I lashed out for one. It was over an eye watering 40 quid plus ( I think) but 3 years later it is still working well.
It is strong Matt but I have never really had a lump in it(13.5lb) max. I have a float on the end and thus far lift out the lump holding the handle near the net.
Time will tell when I go trotting and need to have it fully extended!
