I remember fishing for tench at Emberton lakes near Olney with two rods on groundbait feeders and maggot on the hook,the tench bites were amazing,but I kept getting bleeps on my optonics that didn't move the monkey climbers(they were light)anyway I sat watching the monkeys and before I had a bleep,the indicator changed angle,then went back to the original angle,this happened a few times,I thought they were tench liners or finicky takes,anyway I decided to strioe the next indication,to cut a long story short I caught around fifteen roach between 12ozs and 1lb 9ozs,as soon as the light dropped,no more of those indications occured,right through the night,nor through the morning,a very strange session...
