Method feeder in the margins

I much prefer to use a float in the margins and cannot really see how a method feeder would give an advantage. Why or when would you choose a method over the float for margin fishing?

By laying line flat on the bottom,with a method feeder,you are eliminating fish brushing against the line and spooking,striking at false bites,and foulhookers,float rigs get wafted out of position as well,when fish are active in the margins..Gaz

Ican see the effectiveness of it,but my pleasure whilst fishing the float is doubled by having to do different things to make it work.
