Why is there such a huge difference in price for front drag and rear drag Stradics?

At Climax Tackle:

Stradic 2500 Rear Drag (with fighting drag) = £79.99 (rrp £99.99)

Stradic 2500 Front Drag = £152.99 (rrp £164.99)

The price in store is Stratic 2500 last years module £79.99 new model £87.00

I went in yesterday and bought the old model - was going to get the 4000 but they didn't ahve the old model and the new was £130 - well Christmas is coming

The sppols interchange between the Canata and the Stratic so I'll be using the Canata spol on the Stratic body as well as the Stratic spools

M'lud I do the same but you may find the line lay ain't what you wish for - the retrieve speed is v high and i think it prefers its own spools.... One of my 4000s was not a Stradic spool and it's horrible, all the others are excellent. Not an engineer don't know why. It varies a bit on my two 3000 Shimanos too, can't always blag the spool to fit.. Mine is 'last years' too, quite heavy but amazing in use..
