Newbie from the south east

Thought I'd sign up to some forums for some advice sharing, banter and good stories.
I'm a small river fisherman at heart, getting to some local lakes just as often, but want to broaden my horizons and try a spot of fly fishing.
Not bothered by species or sizes, as long as it's got scales!

Johnsons Lake? I've never fished on that lake myself. I used to catch small ones on a little fishery and a farm's ponds near me before one shut down and the other put a fence up. Never had one bigger than a few ounces.
