Hi Barry, Bring waterproofs and a warm fleece, you will need them. The whole west coast fishes best at low water and up, and has suffered from over fishing by all. There are still fish to be caught, dogfish are always there, codling and coalfish are locals, with the conger and wrasse hanging on, and big mackerel in summer. This coast needs westerly winds and failing light into darkness. The east coast, being rough stuff, 30/35 line straight thru has the biggest cod.Size gets better above the Forth estuary. Give me a shout when you arrive and I will show you some marks I have tried. (sassanach who has been here 10 years) Mail me for more info, Happy New Year, Peter
