I see what you're saying Cakey but I still don't think that any of the "ready-bottled" nuts are anywhere near as good as PROPERLY HOME PREPARED ones. I have not yet opened a bottle of nuts and found the gooey slime which tells me that they are just about ready. Also, home prepared ones should "fizz" when pierced with a baiting needle and that doesn't happen with the bottled variety either. However I do agree with your sentiments about people not realising how dangerous they are if not prepared properly or used to excess. With boilies you can add too many without ruining the fishing long term. With nuts, any more than a handfull can ruin the fishing for the session as well as the rest of the season and bugger up the condition of the carp as well.
