Do please be careful with neutrally buoyant baits. If you're using them in fast shallow water you'll get a lot of tangled and twisted end rigs as the bait spins in the bottom turbulence.

You will need to use a short hook length to avoid foul hooking fish. I've done a lot of experimenting with these sorts of rigs with carp in the margins and experienced problems with hooking fish outside the mouth.

My advice is to run through all the other possibilities before going down this path. You will need to be fishing for very educated fish before you need to try things like this.

That's a good point Sean.

The rig as used/ described in the DVD is being fished on deep rivers like the Severn and Bristol Avon.
