Section of Fishery or river stretch: Olney Bridge Backwater
Date: 12/02/05
Time fished: 10.00am - 3.00pm
Weather conditions: Very windy, wet
Water conditions: 6" up and chocolate
Air temperature: 9
Water Temperature:
Bait: Lobworms , Maggots
Method: Feeder
Results: good stamp of Roach on maggot and 3 good Perch to 2lb on lobworm
Brief description of the session & remarks: the main Ouse was pushing through very hard so I opted for the backwater MKAA stretch at Olney bridge. Less current here and the fish had come in from the main river to rest. A change to lobs against the far bank reeds produced the Perch. The Roach were 4ft from the far bank just out of the main flow.
