when your making your homemade boilies wrap some of the mix round the corks and boil them the same way as the boilies. perfect for pop ups or snowman rigs.

Frozen v. Shelf life?

well, over the past yearI have feed our fish on numerous baits. I have a few spots in the lake that with polarized glasses you can see the bait.

Ifed the fish with two frozen baits> one called T1 and the other Frankfurter.

The T1 was the most dissapointing response, on most occasions it took 3-4 days for the bollies to go. The frankfurter on the otherhand dissapeared in less than 12 hours.

With shelf life boiliesI had a mixed response as well.

We initially used a CSL branded boilie, that took up to a week to go.

Using Smartbait tunafruit we have had a real positive response. A serving is usually gone in 4-5 hours, and in the summer a floating chum version gave results that looked like feeding time at the zoo!

This year we have had some 8mm pellets of tunafruit made especially for us. We have been feeding through the winter with the usual results. As a result, 3/4 of the best fish caught have been on the Tunafruit.

So, in reflection,I must say that "do not decide between frozen & shelf life", decide on whatever flavour the fish respond to!

Well said Jay Write bait in the write place is the key to all of our fishing success. Ve that frozen or shelf life. The bigger picture here is that the bait what ever it mught be has he be of a high quality to ensure the best returns for your investment.
