I am desperately trying to find the butt section of the 12ft Shimano Technium Specialist Rod as mine broke a few months back. Unfortunately Shimano Felindre no longer have stocks, does anybody here have one lying around or know where I may find one?
yeah I missed it.....bugger! Someone else is elling one starting at £200!!! I know it is new but you could buy them new originally for around £130. Think I will keep looking unless someone can help??
When the Technium Specialist first came out the price was about £240. Iknow that because Iremember drooling over it when I sawonein a mag one the guys I worked with brought in one night. I got one 3 years ago, it was as new &it came with the tube but nocloth bag for the princely sum of£120.Ifsomeone thinks they will get 200 quid for one they are havinga laugh even thoughTS are considered to be one of the best Chub rods you can get. Buthaving said that, I wouldn't sell mine (yet)at any price.
Picked one up for £85.00 off e-bay a month ago and paid £80 for the specialist quiver in the summer.I would not pay much more than that but it depends on how much you want one I suppose.
Hi Eddie think I will hold out for now mate, really want to get this rod complete again, now living in Italy, and the rod is just the job for a local river full of barbel and Chub, plus ide a new one for me!
I bought mine for £180 when they first came out.Mine also snapped above the butt section,i got stuck in a snag bent the rod and it snapped/forum/smilies/surprised_smiley.gif.I didnt use excessive force i just put it down to a chip in the blank.Quivers still in the shed somewhere keep meaning to sand them down and use on my Drennan specialist rod./forum/smilies/big_smile_smiley.gifI wouldnt pay £200 for the Shimano buy the Drennan instead/forum/smilies/wink_smiley.gif
