The roach chub and pike are deffo on the cards.

It's zero tonight, the temps are up and down like a yoyo.

Lobs should be packed too, there's some cracking perch to be had.

I'm gonna have a look at the river tomorrow morning, Muffin reminded me of another area we can fall back on if it's right up.

I hope the forecast is right Wol, check out the wind directions....
Talk about 'all over the shop'...........
A 2mph Northerly will be okay though :)

I gotta be honest, I don't think the barbel will be having it...too cold.
If it was a normal session I wouldn't bother at all with the barbs, so it's up to 'you' if you wanna bung a barbel rod out.

I am confident the roach, chub, perch and pike will be feeding, along with the bream, silver bream and possibly the carp, you never know when one will turn up?

It's up! :(

It could drop 2-3 feet if we get no more rain........
I am looking at the bottom end of the Avon, further up it is different, but the lower end is a good guide.

But high tide was at 10.24 at 11.7 mts, so it's holding it back a bit.

An 11.7 mtr tide is big and it holds the Avon back at the lower end, like a trib when the main river is in flood and gives a false impression of the level further upstream. So it might not be as bad as I thought...

I'm gonna stop worrying about it now, what will be, will be....

I just hope you all catch.

I know nothing's guaranteed in this life, but I'm intending to concentrate on chub and maybe roach (see if I can't push Steve over the edge by catching a 3lb beauty :D).

If the conditions look like favouring other species I can change my tackle before I leave at about 4pm tomorrow, I'll look in on this thread before then to see if anyone thinks I should change my game plan.
