Of the more well known i would go for Mick Brown. Perhaps not one of the best technical anglers but the joy on his face when he cracks a technique or catches something special is honest as well as infective.
Jack ....yes he would always be in the top 10 without a doubt...great talker and decent angler...but when he had a series on tv 10 years or so ago,he was hounded by the press because it included field sports like otter hunts/fox hunts /and mink hunting/ also a bit of shooting....the public were to upset to see it so it was took off our screens sadly
It would have to be John Wilson for me ,I used to love his programmes on channel 4.They were waited for eagerly each week I think his first one was for pike ,happy memories.
Hugh Miles and the anglers he puts into his programs.
The 6 Passion For Angling programs were and still are fantastic. They are quite sad really, because my 2 favourite episodesportray the big roach in rivers and the clear seasons we used to have. Sadly they are both disappearing, perhaps the 2 are connected.
It has always been Chuckles Wilson who's done that show, but it's workign title when they started it was "It's not just fishing" and was changed to "Go Fishing" just before release.
