Brief description of the session & remarks: Well I haven't been fishing for around 18 years and my boys have been nagging me for ages. This was their very first time so I was teaching them everything. We chose this venue as it is quite open so there is plenty of room for them to practice their casting and striking without getting caught in trees. To this end it was a very successful day where they learnt and caught a great deal. They float fished on the bottom and I had a ledger (the resultant Carp) with bite alarm set up so that I could help them when required. I also managed some float fishing with a second rod and caught some lively Tench too. The place itself is quite new having only opened in July 2006.
