They are Ray. Fantastic little rods for silly money. My only criticism ( apart from the truly awful rod bag) is that the rings are not the greatest quality.

They look great for the money. Tbh if they were twice the price I wouldn't be surprised. I saw the write up ups on here and they seemed nice.

At 40 sovs a pop they are ridiculous value. Knowing how they perform I'd happily pay double that as they are absolutely cock on for lighter work. If only they would produce a deluxe version with better rings.

On the strength of these i took a punt on the DV Avon quiver ( 1.25 tc) and though its ok as a quiver rod its a bit dead with the Avon top on and nowhere near as nice as the 12oz Specialists IMO. Dont like it at all and the rod bag is even worse which i didnt think was possible.Its the exact same colour as a dog turd and about as useful/welcome.

Reminds me of an occasion I was wearing an old pair of pants and the waist elastic was rather suspect. It gave way when at work and each leg hole hung down its respective trouser leg. Most uncomfortablemg:

and that reminds me of a conversation me and a fishing pal had about our respective wives a couple of weeks back. Our relationship is such that we take the p out of each other.. within ear shot!
Asked what he was buying his other half he said he would buy her a gob stopper. Me, I was to buy mine 3 meters of knicker elastic!

It works wonders for a quiet few days and often we get thrown out the house so we go fishing!!! :w
