But it doesn't have to be money. Im more than appreciative for the money donations to fund the event. Anybody who has got any actual fund raising ideas who may have been in the same situation we are more than willing to use i.e. race nights etc.

Stuart, no I'm a northerner from Crewe in Cheshire. What disturbs me about this thread is that there will be a lot of people who cant afford ?100.00, me for a start, who will find it belittling to keep hearing the jibes from the people who can.

My point in my earler post, which looks like it didn't come across very well, was that ?5.00 from somebody who can't afford much could be a bigger sacrifice than the ?100.00 from somebody who can.

Maybe the northerners are giving or intending giving what they can afford without shouting about it as much.and there are lot of tight arsed southerners out there as well if only three or four of you have given ?100.00 so far, by your standards anyway.

Theres certainly nothing to admire in shouting about how much you've given to a good cause. what was Rik saying about northerners mouthing off?

That gave me a laugh anyway.
