I've got the lens Woody was using, which I consider as my standard lens and is used most of the time.

Then I've got a Sigma 12-24mm, a Nikon 18-200mm VR, a Nikon 105mm macro VR and an 80-400mm VR.

As you may guess, photography is my second hobby and also another source of income.

Well I got the D300 plus 4 lenses to go with it.

Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6

Nikkor 17-70mm f4 -5.6

Nikkor 55-200mm f4 - 5.6

Nikkor 50mm f1.8 prime lens. It shoots at about 70 mm on the D300.

There is a megapixel madness going around that is getting silly. There are those who think thatmoreMPs the better. This is a load of crap of course. My D300 is capable of 12,800 ISO and when set at this, is capable of very acceptable images indeed.

Now there is one well known SLR with 14 MPs, 2 more than the D300, butwhen set on 3200 ISO the noise is frightfull.

Compact cameras of 12 MPs cannot equal the quality of a SLR with 6 MPs. The Monk will tell you that.

I remember very clearly making a pinhole camera at school. It was one of the most enjoyable projects I did in science class.

I wonder if they do it today?

If street cred is important, what about the new Super Nikkor MCXX 500mm f 1.2 AF DX VR ST at only £124,000.

Fasten one of them on the front of your D3!
