Dave I beg to differ,I can take you to a Bream lake where I fished for 12 nights with 4 rods and never had a single bleep from the alarms.A friend fished it for 3 years before he caught a fish.That my friend is hard.Mind you when he caught it was only an ounce below the record.

They're as soft as anything, these southerners...Limestone, tell them about the time you slept out in torrential rain and gales, with not even a bivvie to protect yourself from the elements...now that's what I call hard...Ok, so you were in Wigan General for 6 months recovering from hypothermia, but in my books you're a hard northerner, who doesn't need soft southern things such as bivvies, bedchairs and pillows...

Hard is living 200 miles away from anywhere with any possibility of a fish of that size. I'd happily fish for three years for a fish like that - I've been fishing 40 years and none of my pb's are even half of the record.

I'm sort of in the middle and i head sarth for decent fishing!!!! all joking aside the south is awash with all sorts of waters and yes they are easy....coz they are full of big fish!!!! and the hardest part is finding em!!

I daresay we can knock up a few to make a side Neil. Not sure we will take it quite as seriously as you lot seem to be, but we will turn up for a laugh and hopefully a few fish more than you.

We probably won't be arsed with bankrunners etc., far too serious. If a Swagger gets on the bank he expects to wet a line. I'm not travelling 150 miles to walk the bank that's for sure.
