The Fishing For Everyone Ladies Fishing Club will be holding their first Trout Fishing event on Saturday 27th March at Whinney Loch, near Coldingham, Northumberland.

All females are welcome to join the Club at this event and try their hand at fly fishing. The event will run from 10am – 4pm and all equipment and fishing instruction is available if required.

Anglers do not require a fishing rod license at this event. (editor’s note: not Fishingmagic’s words so please check first.)

Hardy & Greys Ltd are proud to announce their sponsorship of England Men’s World, European and Rivers Fly Fishing Teams for 2010.
 
The company is providing financial support, clothing and equipment.
 
Hardy & Greys Team England members will be sharing their fishing knowledge through a series of informative features that will appear in the media. They will also be attending a number of shows and events throughout the year enabling anglers to meet them face to face.

Both competing in June, the World Championship Team will compete in Poland and the Home International Rivers Championship Team will compete on the river Tees in the North of England. The European Championship Team will fish in Bosnia in September.

The World Team consists of Howard Croston, John Horsey, Simon Robinson, John Tyzak, Davey Parker and manager Ian Greenwood.
 
The Home International Rivers Team consists of Howard Croston, Simon Robinson John Tyzak, Ian Greenwood, Phil Dixon, Bernie Maher and Mike Tinnion.
 
The European Team consists of Scott Nellins, Mike Tinnion, Phil Dixon, Andrew Gooding, Alex Bobba, Tony Baldwin and manager Paul Page.

 


 

Dave Coster Moves North

Hardy & Greys Ltd are pleased to announce they have appointed Dave Coster as Product Manager for their expanded Coarse Product Development team.

Dave had been working as a Consultant for the Northumberland based fishing tackle company for over three years, and has been heavily involved with rod and tackle design during this period. This includes working on the highly successful Hardy Marksman, and the new Greys Prodigy Specimen & Specialist Coarse introductions.

Dave has been a highly successful match and specialist coarse angler for many years. He has written extensively for the Angling press and currently writes weekly features for the Angler’s Mail magazine. He will continue to contribute to this popular magazine from his new location and home in Alnwick, which will no doubt delight many northern anglers!
Commenting on his new position Dave said;

“I’m deeply honoured to have been offered the position of Coarse Product Manager and I relish the challenge.

“Hardy & Greys Ltd is a major, forward thinking company who are going places fast in both the Coarse and Carp markets, and I can now be even more involved with this exciting success story.

Fishing For Everyone Ladies Fishing Club member, Carmelle Hook has landed her first ever Grayling.

Fishing at the first event of 2010 held by the Club at the exclusive Tweedswood beat on the river Tweed on Sunday 31st January, Carmelle landed the 45cm Grayling using a pink nymph.

“The day was fantastic – perfect weather and perfect fishing conditions – it couldn’t have got any better until I landed my first ever Grayling!”

Carmelle was one of eleven ladies fishing on the day and all had a good time.

The Club would like to thank Ron Mccombe, Kevin Pearce and Scott Nellins for their assistance on the day and are looking forward to the year ahead.
