This year, the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal is a fantastic venue to get more on the bank fishing and getting involved.”

John Ellis, National Fisheries & Angling Manager for the Canal & River Trust said: “We’re really looking forward to the Junior Championship, it’s been a great success in previous years and 2016 should be no exception. It’s a brilliant way of getting young people to experience the buzz of a match and discovering the great fishing that can be found on the nation’s canals.”

In conjunction with this Championship is the Angling Trust and Canal & River Trust Pairs Championship which has expanded this year with more regional qualifying heats in Wales, Scotland and Ireland as well as 12 heats across England.
