The Annual General Meetings of the Angling Trust and Fish Legal will be held on Saturday 21st of May 2011 from 1pm until 4.30 pm at The Studio in central Birmingham, walking distance from Birmingham New Street station. We hope that you will be able to join us.

Further details of the meetings, and how to confirm your attendance, will be in our next magazine, which you will receive by post in mid-April. By then the 2010 accounts will have been signed off by the Angling Trust Board and Fish Legal Committee and will be published on our web site.

The Board invites nominations from members who have the necessary skills, experience and knowledge to serve as a company director on the Angling Trust Board and Fish Legal Committee. We are especially seeking to recruit board members with marketing, fundraising, communications, human resources and legal experience, but these are not essential candidate skills. We also particularly welcome nominations from members with knowledge of sea angling because we want to strengthen the representation of this sector on the Board.

Board members are unpaid. Travel expenses to Board meetings are refunded. You would be expected to attend approximately 10 all day mid-week meetings a year with significant work in between.

Nominations must be submitted to Michael Heylin, Chairman of the Angling Trust, to arrive no later than Tuesday 22nd March to: Angling Trust, Strelley Hall, Strelley, Nottingham, NG8 6PE.

Please send a CV, along with a 150 word summary stating why you would like to be a Director of the Angling Trust and Trustee of Fish Legal, and what you would be able to contribute to the Board and Committee of the organisations. Please also include a recent photograph and the name and Angling Trust membership number of a Proposer and Seconder for your nomination. The summary of all nominees will be included in the next magazine and members will be invited to vote for or against their appointment by proxy or at the meeting.

With all best wishes from everyone at the Angling Trust.
