In a run of personal best barbel this is Dave’s latest at 11lb 10oz
Stoke on Trent specialist angler Dave Colclough has done it again! Following hot on the heels of his recent capture of three double-figure River Dove barbel, which included a personal best barbel of 11lb 5oz, Dave has now upped this to 11lb 10oz.

Using home made curry flavoured boilie and a PVA bag of trout pellets Dave, 55, fished a very low and clear river Dove to take the fish at 2.30pm.

He fished a different area of the river from his recent capture of three doubles.

Dave said, “Catching this fish from an area I have fished only once previously was especially pleasing. It was in immaculate condition and fought so hard it left me with a great deal of pain in my rod arm.”

“How long now before I get a 12-pounder I wonder?” He added.
