HUNTS CORNER LAKE

Thomas Simpson had a stunning PB 32lb 08oz linear mirror during a 48-Hour session on the lake.

Ant Hartwell had mirrors of 28lb 10oz, 26lb and 25lb 12oz using Xmas-Pud Baits peanut & pineapple and raspberry boilies.

Simon Knowels from Andover had eight fish up to 20lb 15oz using Tails Up boilies.

Luke Langlois from Bournemouth had nine fish also on Tails Up baits, this included mirrors of 24lb 07oz, 24lb 10oz and two different 30lb 15oz mirrors – Both the big mirrors came on runs at virtually the same time and once landed were both in the landing net at the same time.

BRASENOSE ONE

Nick Hill and Jonny Lynch fished a day only session using zig rigs and landed six fish up to 17lb using one rod each.

Darren Clarke had a new PB 25lb 03oz mirror using pellet over a spodded area.

Kevin Williams had three fish up to 23lb 08oz during a short day session using Mainline Cell boilies tipped with plastic corn at about 80 yards.
 

MANOR FARM LAKE

Jason Mcgrile had four carp ranging in size from 19lb up to 25lb. Fishing with Jason was linear regular Lee Dowding from South Wales who had three tench up to 11lb and eight carp up to 23lb.

Trevor Maloney fished Manor Last week and land 28 tench up top 7lb 09oz, this included six over 7lb and were all caught using the feeder with maggot and caster.
 

OXLEASE LAKE

Ian Russell with a 26lb mirror

Ian Russell caught a 26lb mirror this week from Oxlease using HBS “Super Cede” boilies.

Fishing together Dave Brown had a 28lb 02oz mirror and both Lee and Graham Neild had 21lb mirrors.

Local angler Dom Grant from Witney had a 28lb 09oz mirror using a Tails Up pro-fish pop-up.

Shane Williamson had four fish up to 30lb 10oz using Mainline Cell Boilies tipped with plastic corn.

Fishing together Ian Russell and Paul “La-Taxi” had nine fish this included two 24lb mirrors and a 26lb mirror.
 
 

HARDWICK LAKE

Stewart Moss from Drennan International came down bream fishing and was rewarded with a cracking 10lb 01oz specimen.

Also on the bream was Pedro Dittrich from Hertfordshire who took a while to find the fish but ended up with five tench up to 5lb, three carp up to 15lb and two big bream weighing 10lb 08oz and 12lb 02oz. All Pedro’s fish fell to solid pva bags over a spodded area at about 30 yards range.
 
 
 
BRASENOSE TWO

Jason Head had a 15lb mirror using tiger nuts over a lighted spodded bed of particles.

Linear Bailiff Dave Austin had two doubles and lost two using small hookbaits and pva bags of pellets. Fishing with Dave was his son Liam who had at least nine fish up to 15lb using the same tactics.
 
 

ST JOHNS LAKE

James Bishop from Bedford had a 28lb 04oz mirror fishing singles at about 80 yards.

Darren Bromfield from London had a 20lb 02oz mirror using green lip muscle pop-ups.

Fishing the water for the first time Tom Loraine from St. Albans had a 24lb 08oz mirror using Mainline NRG boilies on a stiff hinge rig at about 70 yards.

John Sheppard, also fishing the lake for the first time had a cracking 19lb 01oz heavily scaled mirror from the road bank.

Nathan James had a 19lb common along with a 24lb 05oz miror and 20lb 02oz fully scaled mirror using Mainline Cell Boilies.

Alan Kelly from Birkenhead set a new lake record for commons when he landed the aptly named “Big Common” at 43lb (see header picture), this was a new PB for Alan who also landed a 19lb 08oz mirror. Fishing with Alan was nine year old Lee Smith who also set a new PB when he landed a 19lb 14oz mirror.

Steve Hartay from Bristol had a 27lb common along with mirrors weighing 24lb 04oz and 21lb using SBS Lobworm boilies.

Linear regular Dave Wyatt had the awesome “Small Plated” at 41lb along with twelve other fish up to mid-twenty using fake corn and particles.

And Scott Lockwood from South Wales had a 28lb 02oz catfish, his first ever cat.
 
 
 
GUY LAKES

Fishing Yeoman’s lake Geoff Collins from Swindon had four fish using particle, this included three stockies and a 20lb mirror.

Also on Yeoman’s was Dom Spalding from Carterton who had six doubles weighing between 10lb and 15lb along with a 24lb 08oz common and mirrors of 23lb and 31lb 04oz during his five day session.

Over on Gaunts Lake Allan Endacott had a 30lb mirror and his wife Linda lost two fish and landed a 17lb 08oz mirror, both Allan and Linda used DT Developments Green Beast baits.

On Unity Lake Mark Jackman from Tackley had a 24lb 04oz mirror and Steve Taylor from Bicester had three tench up to 9lb along with a 16lb mirror.

Also on Unity was Jamie Amer who had a few stockies and a cracking 24lb common.

Don’t forget that Credit/debit cards can be used on the bank to pay for tickets. Bailiffs carry a wireless, hand-held card machine. This is the preferred method of payment at Linear Fisheries Oxford. ALL MAJOR CREDIT CARDS ARE ACCEPTED.

If you would like to become a member of our Guy Lakes Syndicate then all you have to do is send off for an application form which once filled out and returned will see you placed onto the waiting list. You can register for an application form on the linear web site by going to the syndicate pages or by phoning 01908 647320.

Joining Guy Lakes entitles the member to fish three very pretty lakes; all secure and very close together. More than thirty different thirties and four different forties have been recorded caught from the waters during the last twelve months and towards the end of 2009 over 300 fish were stocked into the complex. The price for 2010 will be £400.
