Mick Paine, owner and the organiser of the successful CARP shows in Zwolle, The Netherlands reported another record breaking year at the 16th edition.

” With just under 10,000 visitors in two days, we beat last year’s record of 9,000 visitors” said Mick and having filled the IJsselhallen with almost 80 stands, covering 10,000m2, Mick was justifiably proud. “Yes, I’m very pleased overall. Some of the retailers recorded record sales and the visitors seemed to be enjoying themselves, which is the most important for me.”

There was plenty to see, with all the famous Carp Fishing Brands from all over Europe attending and talks from some of the biggest names in Carp Fishing, such as Steve Briggs and Korda’s Danny Fairbrass. There were also some big names on some of the stands too, Carp Fishing Legend Rod Hutchinson was there promoting his books with Tim Paisley on the Angling Publication’s stand, Terry Hearn was spotted, as were Simon Crow and Rob Hughes, Belgian Maestro Eddie Sterckx was on the Pro-Line Stand helping visitors and Luc de Bates was happily signing his book for the fans.

All in all it was a terrific show, with a great atmosphere and, as the visitors made their way to the car park after the show, Mick was already planning next year’s extravaganza: “Next year is the 17th edition of CARP, but it’s also the 15th time it has been held in the IJsselhallen, Zwolle. we’re planning a lot of special treats for our visitors, so they won’t want to miss it!”
