The Chub Barrow features a large pneumatic wheel right at thefront giving the whole thing a true wheel-barrow feel. Very smart, round section, smooth-anodised frame that folds down flat andcompact. The wheel is easily removable via a cotter pin for easytransportation. The legs lock into position via Chub’s locking legsystem as used on their bedchairs, giving extra stability when inuse.

The barrow comes complete with two infinitely adjustable elasticstraps and an optional extra is the Barrow Tidy (as seen fitted inthe picture), a custom designed, detachable container for all thosebits and pieces that loops over and hangs under the barrow. An extrarear wheels conversion kit is also available for upgrading the barrowto the same spec as the Barrow 2000.

Due to the wheel being right at the front you feel the full loadyou’re lifting. Not that the weight of that is anything like theweight you would feel if you were carrying it on your person, but ismore than it would be if some of the weight could be carried forwardof the wheel as it is on some barrows.

However, the advantage of a wheel at the front is that the barrowis very stable and therefore easy to manoeuvre. The big pneumaticwheel makes easy work of reasonable humps, bumps and grooves in theground and the barrow is big enough to carry most angler’s kit for along session.

The Barrow Tidy is a useful extra, allowing you to carry a muchgreater load if necessary.

Price is £ 99.99, Barrow Tidy £ 24.99, Conversion Kit£ 29.99.
