Bob Coleman’s big cat, a new record for RMC at 45lb 12oz

Bob Coleman ventured on an away trip to Yateley with a fellow Boat Pool Bailiff and broke the RMC catfish record with a stunning fish of 45lb 12oz.

Bob struck into the cat on his second night at the venue.

Fishing a 4 inch roach livebait on a 3/0 Eaglewave cat hook and polyball rig the fish tore off at 11.45pm. A hectic 35 minute fight ensued with the fish making several powerful runs of up to 60 yards. To add to this most impressive fish Bob also went on to add other cats of 22lb and 36lb making it a very memorable session indeed.
